I find this helps a lot when you are giving feedback over e-mail, or when you are cooperation on a project with several people.
- How to track changes – Edit < Record < changes box
- If you find that you cannot edit a Office file – save it again as any format and it should now let you make changes.
- Make Open Office always save in Office compatible formats. Go to Tools < Options, then find the Load-Save category, and then click on General . In the Document Type box, choose Text Document, and in the Always Save As dropdown, choose Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP. Then, in the Document Type dropdown box, choose Spreadsheet, and in the Always Save As dropdown, choose Microsoft Excel 97/2000/XP. Finally, pick presentation from the dropdown Document type box and click on and make it “Always save as Microsoft PowerPoint 97/2000/XP
